This week's reading story is "Mighty Jackie: The Strikeout Queen." Below is a slideshow for the story's vocabulary words. Check out the Spelling City link to "Mighty Jackie." Remember the first 20 words are mandatory for the test. The last five are bonus words for extra credit.

Notice: This week's writing activity is exciting! We will be writing letters to Major League Baseball players. Please send two envelopes and two stamps to school by Thursday. Students are also encouraged to bring a baseball card to school of a player they want to write to for this activity. I will also provide cards for students.
