Northeast Density Activity

To demonstrate the population density of different regions, states, and cities our class participated in a role play to show to scale the population density of different areas. The picture below is the guide.

The United States of America

The West Region (Alaska, Washington, Oregon, California, Nevada, Idaho, Wyoming, Montana, Colorado, and Utah)

The Northeast Region (Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, New York, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Pennsylvania, Delaware, New Jersey, and Maryland)

Alaska (with 2% of a student)

New Yorkers (Notice the small square of paper under their knees)
