Friday Notes

Today we finished our train tour of the Northeast with stops in Philadelphia, PA (Independence Hall), Washington, D.C. (US Capital, White House, Supreme Court), and New York City (Empire State Building). To demonstrate the importance of elevators in skyscrapers we tried climbing the 102 floors of the empire state building. We marched in place taking our feet one foot off the ground. For every 18 steps we climbed one floor. After 5 minutes of climbing (all I could manage), we climbed 41 floors.

Homework this weekend: Math facts, 4s fact family(4 x 1, 1 x 4, 4÷1, 4÷4, etc) and 8.5 both sides (properties of multiplication).

Also, Please return Book Orders and Orchestra Hall slips by next Wednesday. Wolf Ridge invoices came home today as well.

Have a great weekend.
