Baseball and Algebra

For our writing lesson today we wrote letters to Major League Baseball players. The students learned how to address envelopes and ask for an autograph. We are excited to see what we get. Listed below are instructions on how to ask for an autograph. It is a fun hobby.

In math today we began studying algebra. The kids are learning how to change a word problem to an expression and include variables and parentheses. The assignment is 4.1 PW 14 (the back of the front page only). Below are some example algebra problems.
