In recent English lessons we learned about four types of sentences:
• Interrogative (sentences that ask a question and end with a question mark)
• Imperative (sentences that give a command or order and end with a period)
• Exclamatory (sentences that show excitement and end with an exclamation mark)
• Declarative (sentences that state a fact or give information and end with a period)
The pictures shown below are scans of student posters. They had to create a character for each type of sentence focused around the end mark (since that helps to identify each type). Students also included some example quotes from their character to demonstrate each type of sentence.
The bottoms were cut off during scanning.
