Monday Notes

I hope you all had a great weekend! Here's what we were up to today:

  • Spelling- Our list has 20 words with 5 additional challenge words (see below). Check out the link to Spelling City for some cool spelling games to practice. For homework, the students are to complete the spelling word search and write each word 4x on the back. The challenge words are 5 extra credit points.
  • Vocab- the words this week are: ventured, foisted, annoyed, pact, queasy, and depriving. For homework the students are to use each word in a sentence on page 10 of their planner.
  • Math- worksheet 1.4 Benchmark numbers. There will be a test on Thursday.

This is a link to the US Immigration Web Site. Try downloading the Civics study questions to test your knowledge on United States History and Government.

In math we continue to work on perimeter. Perimeter is the distance around a shape. Here is a link to a perimeter web site.
